Taxonomy
According to the Linnean classification system for living things, published in the 18th century by Carl Linnaeus, there are 7 hierarchical categories in grouping organisms. For the purpose of this website, and aiming to keep navigation simple, we adopt Phylum in grouping the marine life subjects A brief inside to the 9 Phyla adopted initially is provided below with access to photos of the amazing world of each Phyla.
